    About our Sussex CCC news

    Latest news on Sussex County Cricket Club, the oldest of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Sussex.

    The club has always held first-class status and has competed in the County Championship since the official start of the competition in 1890. Sussex have played in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England.

    The club's limited overs team is called the Sussex Sharks. Sussex won its first official County Championship title in 2003 and subsequently became the dominant team of the decade, repeating the success in 2006 and 2007.

    The club's home ground is The 1st Central County Ground, Hove, which has a capacity of 8,000 spectators. The club's colours are blue and white.
