    Latest news on Rheinmetall, a German company that specialises in automotive and defence products. It was founded in 1889 as a steel and metal manufacturer, and later expanded into armaments, locomotives, electronics and other fields. Rheinmetall is headquartered in Düsseldorf, Germany, and has subsidiaries and joint ventures in several countries.

    Rheinmetall operates two main divisions: Rheinmetall Automotive and Rheinmetall Defence. Rheinmetall Automotive produces engine components, emission control systems, pumps, pistons, bearings and other parts for the automotive industry. Rheinmetall Defence produces military vehicles, weapons, ammunition, protection systems, simulation and training systems, air defence systems and electronics for the defence sector. It also provides services such as maintenance, repair and logistics.
