Barrow AFC are a professional football club based in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, on the remote Furness peninsula. Founded in 1901, the Bluebirds have played their home matches at Holker Street since 1909. Their blue and white colours give the club its long-standing nickname.

The club compete in the National League, the fifth tier of English football, after relegation from EFL League Two in 2026. A turbulent campaign brought managerial upheaval, boardroom changes and significant squad turnover. Supporters now follow a rebuilding effort aimed at securing an immediate return to the Football League.

Few clubs are as closely tied to their town as Barrow. The Bluebirds Trust and a passionate local fanbase keep supporters at the heart of decision-making, while community initiatives connect the club with schools and groups across Furness. Long away trips from one of England's most isolated football outposts have become a badge of honour for travelling fans.

Barrow joined the Football League in 1921 but were voted out in 1972, beginning 48 seasons in non-league football. That exile ended in 2020, when the club returned to the EFL as National League champions. Barrow have also lifted the FA Trophy twice, in 1990 and 2010, and remain the only club to win the competition at both the old and new Wembley Stadium.
