Born on December 19, 1987, in Lyon, France, Benzema’s career has been defined by his technical brilliance, vision, and consistency at the highest level of football. He started his career with Lyon, winning the Ligue 1 title four times in consecutive seasons before his transfer to Real Madrid in 2009.

The Frenchman cemented himself as a Galactico at the iconic Spanish club, going on to win four La Liga titles as well as five Champions League titles alongside names such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric in a period of European dominance that is unlikely to be seen again.

Benzema went on to win the Ballon d'Or in 2022, becoming the first Frenchman to win it since Zinedine Zidane in 1998. Following his success in European football, he join Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad on a free transfer.
