Alabama is considered a Red State. In the federal government, represented by two U.S. Senators and seven U.S. Representatives. Both Senators are Republican: Sen. Tommy Tuberville and Sen. Katie Boyd Britt. Of the seven Representatives, six are Republican. Alabama also has a Republican governor, Kay Ivey, who was reelected in 2022. The state legislature is also controlled by Republicans, who have majorities in both chambers.
