    About our Russian Military news

Latest news on Russia's military, officially called The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which are divided into the Ground Forces, Navy, and Aerospace Forces. There are also two independent arms of service: the Strategic Rocket Forces and the Airborne Troops.

The Russian Armed Forces have about 1.15 million active personnel and at least two million reserve personnel, making them the world's fifth-largest military force by manpower. They also have the world's largest stockpile of nuclear weapons and a powerful fleet of ballistic missile submarines and strategic bombers.

Russia has been involved in several conflicts and disputes in recent years, such as the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War that began in 2014, the Syrian Civil War that began in 2011, and the Nagorno-Karabakh War that took place in 2020.
