About our St. Louis Cardinals news

Latest news on the St. Louis Cardinals, a professional baseball team based in St. Louis, Missouri, and part of the National League’s Central Division. Established in 1882, the Cardinals are one of the oldest teams in the MLB and were one of the original NL sides. Initially called the St. Louis Brown Stockings, the Missouri-based franchise didn’t go by the name of the St. Louis Cardinals until the year 1900.

The Cards have a rich history of MLB success and have won the National League more than any other side. Since their maiden World Series victory in 1926 the Cardinals have gone on to triumph on 10 further occasions, bringing their grand total to 11 World Series titles. The Cards are the second most successful team in American baseball history. The team’s colours are red, blue, yellow and white.

The Cards play their home games at Busch Stadium, a ballpark they’ve called home since the stadium first opened in 2006.
