Africa Cup of Nations News
Latest news for the Africa Cup of Nations, the international men's football championship of Africa that is held every two years. The 2025 edition of the tournament was held in Morocco where the hosts initially finished runners up to Senegal in a dramatic final. Egypt are considered the most successful side in the competition's history, having won seven titles since the tournament began in 1957. Senegal are the current defending champions after they won their second AFCON title in the 2025 edition. The next tournament is set to be held in 2027 with Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda acting as host nations.
