    Oklahoma is considered a red state. In the federal government, Oklahoma is represented by two U.S. Senators and five U.S. Representatives. Both Senators James Lankford and Markwayne Mullin are Republican. Likewise, of the five Representatives, all are Republican. Oklahoma also has a Republican governor, Kevin Stitt, who was reelected in 2022. The state legislature is also controlled by the Republicans, who have majorities in both chambers.
