    Indiana is considered a red state. In the federal government, Indiana is represented by two U.S. Senators and nine U.S. Representatives. Both Senators Mike Braun and Todd C. Young are Republican. Of the Nine Representatives, seven are Republican and two are Democrats. Indiana has a Republican governor, Eric Holcomb, who was reelected in 2020. The state legislature is also controlled by Republicans, who have majorities in both chambers.
