    About our Zimbabwe news

Latest news on Zimbabwe, a landlocked country located in southern Africa. It shares borders with South Africa to the south, Botswana to the west and southwest, Zambia to the northwest, and Mozambique to the east and northeast. Zimbabwe covers an area of 390,757 square kilometres (150,872 square miles) and has a population of around 15 million people.

The country's capital is Harare, which is also its largest city. English is the official language, but Shona and Sindebele are widely spoken as well. Zimbabwe's currency is the Zimbabwean dollar (ZWL).

The country has experienced significant political and economic challenges since its independence, particularly under the leadership of former President Robert Mugabe. The land reform policies in the early 2000s led to widespread economic collapse, hyperinflation, and international sanctions. In 2017, Mugabe was ousted in a military coup, and Emmerson Mnangagwa assumed power as the president.
