About our United Kingdom Special Forces news

Latest news on the UK's Special Forces, which is made up of several elite military units with distinct areas of expertise, including the Special Air Service (SAS).

As well as the SAS, the United Kingdom Special Forces consist of the Special Boat Service (SBS), Special Reconnaissance Regiment and 18 (UKSF) Signals Regiment.

The various units' areas of expertise include behind-the-lines operations, undercover raids, counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism, hostage rescue, reconnaissance and covert surveillance.
