Latest news on Luis Fernando Díaz Marulanda, better known as Luis Díaz, a Colombian professional footballer who primarily plays as a forward.

Born on 13 January 1997, in Barrancas, Colombia, the 26-year-old has become a vital player for Liverpool and the Colombian national team as a left winger.

Díaz began his career in Colombia with Atlético Junior, making a name for himself before a transfer to Porto, where his standout performance earned him a €45 million move to Liverpool in 2021. He quickly adapted to English football, helping his team secure the EFL Cup and FA Cup in his debut season and garnering personal accolades along the way.

Internationally, Díaz has been a key figure for Colombia, earning over 40 caps and playing a pivotal role in their third-place finish at the 2021 Copa América, where he ended as the tournament's joint top scorer.

Off the pitch, Díaz has recently been in the headlines for a personal matter. His father was kidnapped in Colombia and held for nearly two weeks before being released.
