About our Aston Martin F1 Team News

Get the latest news on the Aston Martin F1 Team, including driver updates, Grand Prix results, car upgrades and more from the best sources in world motorsport.

The origins of the Aston Martin brand in Formula 1 dates back to the late 1950’s when the team debuted at the 1959 Dutch Grand Prix on the famous sand dunes of Zandvoort. However, a poor return from the team saw them leave the sport the following year with no points scored.

The iconic British manufacturer then served as a title sponsor to Red Bull Racing between 2018 and 2020 before Lawrence Stroll bought a stake in Aston Martin to rebrand the Racing Point F1 Team ahead of the 2021 season, marking the full return of the Aston Martin F1 Team.

Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll are the current full-time drivers of the Silverstone-based outfit with the AMF1 Driver Development Programme scouting some of the hottest talents in junior formula racing.
