Both Senators Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty are Republican. Of the nine Representatives, eight are Republican and one is a Democrat. Tennessee has a Republican governor, William Byron Lee, who was reelected in 2022. The state legislature is also controlled by the Republicans, who have majorities in both chambers.
