Alaska is considered a red state. In the federal government, Alaska is represented by two U.S. Senators and one U.S. Representative. Both Senators, Lisa Murkowski, and Dan Sullivan, are Republican whilst the House Representative is a Democrat. Alaska has a Republican governor, Mike Dunleavy, who was reelected in 2022. The state legislature is also controlled by Republicans, who have majorities in both chambers.
