Latest news on Janet Yellen, an American economist who is currently serving as the United States Secretary of the Treasury. She previously served as the 15th Chair of the Federal Reserve, the Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers, and the President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Yellen was the first woman to hold these positions and is a professor emeritus at the Haas School of Business and the University of California, Berkeley. She was nominated by President Joe Biden and confirmed by the U.S. Senate in January 2021.
