Latest news on Rosemary Clare Duffield, a British Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Canterbury since 2017. Born in Norwich, Norfolk, she later moved to South East London and left school at 16 to complete an administration apprenticeship at Guy's Hospital. Duffield later attended a further education college, moved to Canterbury in 1998, and worked as a primary school teaching assistant. She briefly worked as a political satire writer before running for the St Stephen's ward of Canterbury City Council in 2015, where both seats were won by the Conservatives.
