About our Ambulance Strikes news

Latest news on the ongoing ambulance strikes in England and Wales, with ambulance staff striking due to a continuing dispute over pay. Fourteen health unions have pulled out of the independent pay review process and refused to make a submission about the 2023-24 pay award. The strikes are also fueled by issues surrounding the staffing crisis, patients needs and their own cost of living. Talks have been held with Health Secretary Steve Barclay but no agreements have been reached yet. Unions have made it clear they will not discuss next year's pay until their demands are met this year.
