About our San Jose Sharks news

Latest news on the San Jose Sharks, a professional ice hockey team based in California who compete in the Pacific Division of the NHL's Western Conference.

Founded in 1991, the Sharks play their home games at the SAP Center in San Jose. The arena is known locally as "The Shark Tank".

The Sharks are yet to win their first Stanley Cup title, with them falling short to the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2016.

They also have minor league affiliations with the San Jose Barracuda of the American Hockey League (AHL) and the Wichita Thunder of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL)
