Latest news on the Milwaukee Brewers, a professional baseball team based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and part of the National League’s Central Division. Established in 1969, the Brewers were founded as an expansion team for the American League and were first based in Seattle. Initially called the Seattle Pilots the team were moved to Milwaukee after only one season in the MLB. For the next 30 years the Brewers played their games in the AL before moving across to the National League in 1998 where they remain to this day.
The Brewers have only reached the World Series on one occasion in 1982 where they finished runners up to the St. Louis Cardinals. In recent years the side have seen a bit more success in the form of consecutive post-season qualifications from 2018-2021. The team’s colours are navy blue, yellow and royal blue.
Also known as the Brew Crew, the Brewers play their home games at American Family Field which has a capacity of 41,900. The retractable roof stadium has been the home ballpark of the Brewers since 2001.
