About our Real Bedford news

Latest news on Real Bedford FC, an English professional football team that was established in 2002 as a result of the merger of Bedford United and US Valerio. Also known as The Pirates, the side play their home games at McMullen Park.

Following the merger, the club took on the name Bedford United & Valerio FC before changing to just Bedford in 2007. In 2022 the club were taken over by bitcoin podcaster Peter McCormack where they were renamed Real Bedford. Two years after McCormack's purchase, the club received a $4.5m investment from Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss.
