Taylor returned twice more, including guiding successive promotions that culminated in Premier League football in 2000.

More recently, Watford reached the 2019 FA Cup final under Gracia, though they lost to Manchester City. The club has yo-yoed between the Premier League and Championship, securing promotion in 2015, 2021, and on multiple other occasions, demonstrating both ambition and resilience.
