Business Development Managers
NewsNow is now recruiting business development managers/sales executives,
who will be based at its offices near Hammersmith and Putney, South West London.
This hands-on role will involve lead sourcing and developing
business within a range of sectors across the UK. You will be used to
a direct sales approach and must have the ability to sell to managers
at all levels from SME to blue chip.
The ideal candidate will be a professional verbal and written
communicator, able to sell to senior management by telephone
and face-to-face, conversant in IT and will have broad industry
knowledge. Experience of using email to market to potential prospects
is desirable, however all applications will be considered.
This is an excellent opportunity for an online sales executive or team
leader to join our long-established and ground-breaking company,
founder of the UK Internet press cuttings and news aggregation industry.
Salary from £20,000 to £22,000 depending upon ability. OTE to
£40k.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To work to targets to lead-source, identify potential sales,
prepare service trials and complete deals, through
desktop research, database mining, email marketing and enquiry
processing.
- To monitor and track sales leads using in-house computerised
systems.
- To maintain and expand marketing databases.
- To analyse, evaluate and forecast own performance and identify why
prospects are and are not buying.
- To undertake any other relevant duties as directed, from time to
time.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Can-do fast learner who hits the ground running.
- Strategic and analytical approach to opportunities and
challenges.
- Motivated, confident self-starter with clean driving licence.
- Previous sales experience, both face-to-face and by telephone,
essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required. Ability to communicate
confidently with senior managers and to report back efficiently to
management.
- Good typing and Microsoft Office skills, including Access database
management or similar, and a natural ability to learn other in-house
computerised systems.
